Set against the music of the River Beas, Manali offers the stunning beauty of lush green meadows and tall coniferous trees. The cool climate provides some respite from the overall raw heat of the North Indian summer and adds to the charm of the place. Adventure sports like paragliding, skiing, trekking and mountain biking are common among the snow- capped slopes and mountains. A few attractions of Kullu Manali include The Great Himalayan National Park, Brighu Lake, Bijli Mahadev Temple and the celebration of the Dusshera Festival.
Retaining the aura of its erstwhile position as the summer capital of the British Raj, Shimla offers beautiful colonial architecture including quaint iron lamp-posts and Victorian and neo-gothic structures. "Mall Road", which is the main commercial strip of Shimla offers plenty of scope for shopping and is dotted with tiny, quaint eateries. There are some beautiful Picnic spots around Shimla, and one can also go on some lovely walks in and around town.
Located about 77kms away from Shimla, Kasauli too has retained the cobble-stone beauty of the British Raj. Kausali is dotted with magnificent little cottages, neatly trimmed gardens and lovely fruit orchards. The beauty of this quiet little town is reinforced by its avenues of Himalayan Oaks, Chir Pines, Horse Chestnut trees and the odd Juniper, which run along the edges of the two main roads. An Arts Centre has been set up at Ivy Cottage by the nephew of the celebrated Indian artist Amrita Shergill. You can also find wool of the finest quality if you visit some of the Tibetan stalls that are found here.
A hill station of the Dhauladhar Range, nestled against the banks of the Ravi River, Dalhousie offers adventure enthusiasts the thrill of some great treks and white waters for rafting. The prime attraction here is the Jandhri Ghat, a palace shrouded by tall pine trees.

Long winding roads and valleys that present unforgettable glimpses of cold desert and snow-crowned mountains welcome you when you set foot into Spiti Valley. Bordered on all sides by the Himalayas, Spiti Valley, located in Himachal Pradesh, has an altitude of 12,500 feet above sea level, and gets just around 250 days of sunshine in the year, making it one of the coldest places in the country. The term Spiti means 'The Middle Land', as Spiti Valley separates India from Tibet. True to its name, Spiti is home to several monasteries. Notably the stunning Key Monastery that is over a thousand years old and is also the largest monastery to be found in the entire Spiti Valley
Quietly situated by the Beas River, Kullu is a cluster of beautiful valleys in Himachal, and that's mainly why it's known as the 'Valley of Gods.' Known for the deodar trees, snow-clad mountains, and apple orchards, Kullu is usually coupled with its sister town Manali, hence a favorite among tourists, especially honeymooners. A hot spot for adventure sports, Kullu is best known for paragliding, river rafting, hiking, and of course, trekking. Some of the most popular treks such as the Bijli Mahadev temple trek, the Parvati valley trek, originate from Kullu. The town is easily accessible as it's home to Bhuntar airport and has bus connectivity within and across towns.
Dharamshala is a beautiful hill town in the Dhauladhar range of Himalayas. It is the winter capital of Himachal Pradesh and is located in the upper slopes of the Kangra valley. Once known as a british hill station during the colonial era, Dharamsala soon became occupied by Tibetan communities and is now home to the greatest Buddhist leader Dalai Lama. Dharamshala, sometimes overshadowed by the more prominent neighbourhood of McLeodganj, is a more laid-back and tranquil spot to spend a long weekend if you're visiting from nearby cities like Chandigarh, Delhi, Amritsar or Jammu. Apart from Mcleodganj, you can explore the quaint little hippie village Dharamkot that's untouched by crowd of tourists. Hence, away from clamour of other tourist spots, Dharamsala is also known to be one of the top destinations for solo travellers.
Located at a distance of just 51 kilometres from Manali, Rohtang Pass can be reached only by road. The pass is located at a massive height of 3978 metres on Manali- Keylong road. When planning a trip to Manali, a day off to the vista point of Rohtang Pass is the ultimate and almost essential attraction of the itinerary. Owing to its splendid natural beauty, Rohtang Pass is a favourite among the community of film directors. Many blockbusters ranging from 'Jab We Met' to 'Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani' have been shot here. A peculiar fact behind the name of the place is that it was named so because a number of people working in CBRE died whilst trying to cross this treacherous stretch..
